I don't get those opinions who thought Charlo was unimpressive
He was a little too economic when he got Trout hurt, that's about it. Trout wasn't close to win 5 rounds, that was a BS, so was that draw, he basically survived the whole time maybe except some brief periods.
Charlo did what he had to, his style is very different from Hurd's. Against Trout's spoiling, crafty style Hurd's was the perfect style to stop him. Not letting him breath, drop tons of punches at him non-stop with the requirement of taking many shots himself in the early rounds and keep pushing.
I still got Charlo in Hurd vs Charlo but I can't say it very confidently. Not because of this fight though... this fight basically changed nothing on how I view Hurd vs Charlo. Charlo was right when he said Hurd will be there to be hit. For Hurd taking the risk of getting hit more but carrying on and overpowering opponents late in the fight paid off so far. Big risk, big reward. But Charlo punches bigger and more precisely than Lara or Harrison. If Hurd fights the same way against Charlo as he usually does it's likely that he gets stopped. Lara rattled him a few times, if he can, Charlo can do it too and possibly more.
Of course still not overlooking Hurd. He might takes those shots too and walks Charlo down, we might find out that Charlo kracks under that pressure, etc... anything can happen, but as of now I'm picking Charlo
to me..thats the bullshyt...a hurd-charlo unification is the fight and i would have to say hurd is the slight favorite with his light heavyweight self
