The storyline to bring them back together was alright. But the fact that the main focus and final member to agree to reform was Reigns, really shows in the ratings.
Think about this, Reigns has less fan support now than he did when the Shield first broke up. He would never get booed on the mic during a Shield promo like he has been. All of this pushing Reigns down our throat has done nothing for him, and he's getting no rub off his feuds with bigger stars like Cena/Taker/etc.
I mean, if Reigns had been heel for awhile, and Rollins and Ambrose look for him to come back, and he eventually joins to turn face in the Shield for a bit. That's something that would have been cool. After the angle is done, maybe Reigns has some momentum to carry into a real face run. Instead we have a forced face/neutral Reigns who gets shyt on by the crowd every time coming into this storyline, and for me, it kills the reunion hype.
