The storyline to bring them back together was alright. But the fact that the main focus and final member to agree to reform was Reigns, really shows in the ratings.

Think about this, Reigns has less fan support now than he did when the Shield first broke up. He would never get booed on the mic during a Shield promo like he has been. All of this pushing Reigns down our throat has done nothing for him, and he's getting no rub off his feuds with bigger stars like Cena/Taker/etc.

I mean, if Reigns had been heel for awhile, and Rollins and Ambrose look for him to come back, and he eventually joins to turn face in the Shield for a bit. That's something that would have been cool. After the angle is done, maybe Reigns has some momentum to carry into a real face run. Instead we have a forced face/neutral Reigns who gets shyt on by the crowd every time coming into this storyline, and for me, it kills the reunion hype.

Wrestling is dying because of technology and the internet. The internet age made kayfabe a joke and there’s just too much content out there now that kids like better. Most kids now watch something like pewdeepie on YouTube than wwe. Plus all the extreme sports sh1t out there make extreme moments like Shane jumping off the cell not as shocking as it originally was

Wrestling can be revived, you just gotta take everything you do and say seriously. Look at Floyd/Conor, everyone knew what would happen before it happened but that shyt was so powerful it made us (and by us I mean casuals) THINK in the back of our mind, maybe this dude can pull off a miracle? Hell, Conor knew he had no chance but you can tell everything he says he takes seriously, he has a confidence about himself. Same as Floyd tenfold, who he learned it from.

The WWE makes guys look like dweebs just because it makes the guys in the back get a chuckle, they micromanage shyt too much, cats have to follow some shytty script made by cats who don't know shyt. Nothing is organic. And people know that.

I don't think it's The Shield stuff. The last couple weeks have been decent. Ratings were doing okay when Braun was the focus. I think Brock going over Braun and it being clear they are pushing Roman for Brock turned some people away.

I agree with that and think not having a top guy that can crossover is killing them, However there is too much competition too many other forms of entertainment out there to realistically expect a consistent good rating for 52 weeks out the year.

What is happening is wwe is over exposing itself, other forms of media is just as entertaining, and the business (from a wwe perspective) has not evolved. WWE has to let go of the one top guy larger than life thing, they have to let go of the traditional way of telling a story with who is considered a baby face or heel, they have to stop forcing their personal narratives like Vince's weird obsession with having a guy Like Elias samson debuet and get over then forcing commentary to just call him Elias, its stupid and commentary should be allowed to say what they want. Vince needs to fall back and only work on mania and the big 4 ppvs, he cant keep up anymore

but yea wrestling has over exposed itself and hasnt figured out who their target audience should be,

Granted if you remove The Shield segments....RAW is still :trash: for the most part and the half of the fans know what the reuniting of The Shield really is all about.
