i think its safe to say the number of guns won't ever go down. as long as gun producers keep making them there will always be more. the number of households that owns a gun is a better indicator of prevalence.

Someone actually gets it. Will further this though. 90+% of these guns are bought illegally from legal gun owners. This is why gun control and who gets them initially is huge. Its not necessarily about the gun use of the initial owner, but rather how they treat the secondary market.

I can't say that I am surprised that only 12% of Americans know that gun violence is decreasing in America. After all, that Democrats and their accomplices in the mainstream media want Americans to be as misinformed as possible. You'd make a pretty poor Capitalist, then. The gun lobby in this country and the industry it represents make far more money than any anti-gun initiative, which isn't really profitable at all, since it's not tied to any industry in particular.
