Cripple H. Goldberg. Nash. Sting. Taker. Big Show. DX. VINCE. none of them but Cripple H beats Foley for the belt to a tepid reaction while the Rock and Austin segments get the sky high ratings.

Point is when HHH was put in that role, it was because he had the heel heat and the character to hold up that role in '99. Whether it was against Austin, Rock, Foley, or Vince... and no, Shelton Benjamin didn't get a push similar to that, but even if he did, I don't think it's a secret that promos were never a strength when it came to Shelton. And when he was getting over, he woulda needed a strong or even decent promo game to uphold that role as a top guy. Benoit was never a great promo/personality either, but that's also why it took him forever to be a top star in both WCW and WWF. Yet, you think Shelton coulda done it in less than two years...OK...
