We say "would this work today"

but really who is they we would have to answer to?

Not saying we should do degenerate shyt on TV just to do it:whoa:

I mean those that would complain the typical ones that virtue signal

at the same time be the ones trying to turn out your kids on the flip.

with rainbow flags and having they/them pronouns.

I hate “would they get away with this today!?” questions

Yes, they would.. because it’s fiction. A scripted tv show. It’s not real.

I watch high schoolers do coke on hbo every Sunday
Dude, you're comparing an HBO show to a PG show with network sponsors that makes action figures & video games for children & does "Make A Wish" segments

WWE wasn’t PG when this happened lol

And in this hypothetical scenario in the alternate universe where this happens on a WWE program today, I’d assume it wouldn’t be PG rated either.

If MJF did this to a bytch THIS WEDNESDAY, nobody would care. Bro splashed alcohol in a lil black kids face. Its not that serious lol

Obviously if this happened on WWE tv how it’s currently structured, it probably wouldn’t go over well.. but if WWE is still the edgy program it used to be, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. Again, it’s fiction.

I see y’all replies, and I hear where y’all coming from..

And I still feel scripted tv is fiction. It’s fake. There’s producers and writers. It’s not a reflection of the real world. It’s fantasy. A performance. Fake. It’s no different than watching Magic Johnson run trains on winning time, or Evan peters kill gay men on Netflix.

Pointless dialogue about fictional characters on a scripted tv show
I agree but for some reason this country thumbs its nose at wrestling. Until somebody dies or there’s a even slightly controversial storyline or segment. They cant wait to call it fake but the moments are some how deemed real and too far when they’re ready to criticize

I think the fact WWE IS PG now is also a big factor as to why it wouldn’t happen now besides just modern tastes.

AEW might be different, MJF did motorboat a fan but he had to literally ask her before he did. They haven’t quite gone there yet with an out and out sexual harassment character though

Nah, I'm pretty sure this is the "Ruthless Agression" era. Definitely not PG

And yeah, MJF is definitely not going to be sexually harassing chicks on TV this week, G. you buggin' :heh:

They don't even let men "fake punch" women in the PG era.

You can get away with some profanity on AEW, but nah, MJF is not going to be pulling up Anna Jay's dress on national television anytime soon. Especially not post-"Me Too" :comeon:
