I think see's an alien. Like the ancient alien trope. There's enough wiggle room but this show screams girl power so likely no. I've seen it called a Steven Universe ripoff. I never watched Steven Universe so it's all new to me.
The animation, character designs, characters’ personalities, etc are basically Steven Universe. I got the Steven Universe vibe 3 mins into the 1st episode.

This show is cool to me. I'm not bothered by the gayness of it all. Many might have a problem with it. It's out in plain sight but at the same time it's not beating you over the head with it. This being a kids show I doubt it goes overboard with it but it's not trying to hide its gay overtones.

Catra is one of those chaotic bad guys. She's not entirely evil but she's not necessarily good either. She has no clear side but her own. At first I didn't really like her but she's grown on me. Probably one of the best characters I can remember in a cartoon. It's clear she's inspired by Zuko but I can see her arguably surpassing him. I can't even call what's gonna happen with her. She could join the good guys like Zuko did or become the big bad of the entire show.

This is a show that gets better as it goes along. I'm at the last episode and it's hitting it's stride now. Its better than The Dragon Prince and Voltron for sure.

I could get with these remakes if they actually had better animation and stuck to the old theme music.

These kats remaking this shyt and not even using the original makers as consultanats.

I got my kids(8 and 6 ) hooked on the original He-man and She-ra. Thanks for Starz on demand. I swear it's a proud feeling when your kids enjoy shows you loved as a child. I showed them the original because I wanted them to see where She-ra comes from. Will it be hard to go from the old she-ra to the Netflix reboot for the kids?

Breh this show is straight up pro LGBT. I only watched the first season so far but it goes way further than what that was. Not sure if you have any issues with that but there's stuff like gender fluid characters in it.
