Nope!
The story is about a biracial black girl (black doctor mom white dead dad) and her life with a disease (SCID) that makes it so that she must stay inside of her house or else she'll die. They are rich and live in a rich white neighborhood, so it makes sense for her new neighbor to be rich and white.
This story was written by a jamaican american black (maybe mixed) woman. You all should be proud that a black person (woman) had her award winning novel turned into a movie, that the leads are black, and that the story does not paint black pple in a stereotypical or cliche way.

No, Over finally being able to experience life. She is going to die anyway, so she may as well enjoy life while she's alive instead of being in the house all of the time. That's no way to live.
