My logic is simple...

The decision to have or not to have a baby is solely in the hands of the woman.

However, if she has the baby, she expects the financial responsibility to be distributed 50-50. Meaning he will be responsible for paying child support.

Regardless of whether or not the man consents to having the baby, the decision is hers.

The argument is that he consented to all risks and consequences once he decided to have sex with her, and if this is the case, so did she.

So how come when she gets pregnant she still has the opportunity to prevent it? The natural response is that it is her body, which I acknowledge.

But do the circumstances change when he wants her to keep the baby and she decides to abort? Is her right to choose more important than all other factors? Why are his feelings never considered?

Now if he could walk away after declaring that he didn't want a kid and have no moral or financial responsibility, then all is fair. But this isn't the case. He will be responsible in some shape or form.

Some say the decision was made when he had sex with her. Mistakes do happen. There's not really much you can do about it. My point is to point out how unfair it is.

The only thing that could make this process more just would be to make abortions illegal, which is extreme. Eliminate the option so that she also no longer has a choice.
