“But like, but like, but like, but like, but like” :unimpressed:

Keep that “9-5 is bs” energy Gen Z, you’ll never own any property committing to that mentality :pachaha:

To keep it a buck, she’s 100 percent right. The current work model doesn’t work in todays society for the most part. I got this off a yahoo story, and the boomers and Gen X comments were shytting on her.

They were told to work hard all your life then retire and relax. Don’t nobody want to waste decades of time working to pay bills, then live out the final 20 years thinking back on all the shyt they missed out on or tying to do all the things they wanted to do in their 20’s and 30’s but couldn’t.

It’s why there’s a mental and physical health epidemic in this country. It’s why drug use is at an all time high.

And to top it off, the money you don’t make doesn’t take you that far. You legit gotta make 100k in most metropolitan areas just to live comfortably.

Younger people are realizing, that 9-5 shyt is bullshyt. I didn’t realize it until I was in my 30’s. And that’s not including layoffs.

Yeah nobody WANTS to but guess what.. it’s how it’s been since forever and yes we knew this. We watched our parents do it. You already knew the business. I worked hard in school so I could sit down at my job all day instead of doing manual labor. But that’s about the only difference and this ain’t new. Not sure what she is going on about.

If this dumb bytch was working remote she would have many other things to cry about on TikTok.

Most work is literally just renting yourself out with commute time ontop. Most ppl/generations realize it sooner or later but I think this is the first gen where the reward doesnt seem worth it or impossible (retired with social security and savings). I said it another thread before but I think this is the first gen in awhile where when they collectively look to the future, it all looks bleak and chaotic. So when you dealing with that then you commuing hrs to a 9-5 ofc you gonna be like wtf is the point.

The commutes are the legit killers. No previous gen traveled more than 30 minutes to and from work. Now, people justifying 4 hour round trip commutes daily for a slightly bigger check. Thats not humane.

We need remote work for at least half the white collar jobs.

I’m not even going to juelz for corporations.

My neighbor worked at GM on the line his whole life and paid his house off in FIVE YEARS. HIs wife never worked a day in her life and since I’ve lived here he gets a new car every 5 years. He probably has lifetime car benefits.

It’s one thing if this was not the norm over the past few decades but it was. Now It’s a race to the bottom and the hardest part is being a part of this transition generation where you see remnants of the ole life while simultaneously being ushered into the new one which looks bleak.

Them nikkas ain’t built for that.
