i hate these broads who just be babbling online with their negativity....its like they do everything in the power to discredit black people....she dosen't specify any unique problem with black resturants....she actually says what alot of resturants do in general, but acts like its unique to black resturants.

"Black people open resturants to make money, not because of the love of cooking"..........:snoop:

When a community has a large, robust upper-middle and upper class, their members have enough room to breathe and relax and prioritize craftsmanship. Because of that prioritization, you see amazing results.

But when we don't have that psychological safety, we see everything as a come up - whether we originally liked cooking or not.

yup... the issues shes pointing at are the most common issues in ALL restaurants...

then cherry on top is her thinking restaurant owners care about "love of food" more than profit.

I can tell you all the black restaurants in Chicago that follow this blueprint. She's absolutely right. Which is why I don't support all black businesses. I only support those that make sense, businesses that have honed their craft, businesses that care about the customers, and businesses that provide value.

I even think that many of these businesses were started by hustlers who may have done scamming in the past and are using the business to clean up their money. It's evident because they still carry on those scam like practices within their business model. It's really apparent. Think of a Jay Morrison type starting a restaurant. They just after money.

I see where she's coming from but I think she should've kept her focus on the problematic service and ambiance of some of our establishments.

The food criticism isn't fair: Chicken & waffles is a tradition at this point. You don't really see Chinese Americans tearing each other down for cooking General Tso's.
