People can say what they will about how the invasion was handled but i dare anyone to say that wasnt one of the best periods in "wrestling" history. The amount of dream matches and styles of rasslin we were blessed to see. Will never forget the 1st time RvD vs jeff/jericho, before his arrival these 2 were treated like rockstars by the fans but as soon as RVD landed their true colours were shown that they'd been watching ECW the whole time. We will never witness ish like that again
It's cool to say the Alliance angle was a failure, but the reality is it was actual very good but had some big missed opportunities. The Alliance era has been much better than anything the WWE has done in the last 8yrs imo.

:dead::dead: at Austin! nikka is hilarious.

"Debra! Call the paramedics! :picard:"

"You think hes gonna be alright? :usure:"

":gucci: I don't give a DAMN about that man, I think I burnt my mouth. :sadcam:"

:laff: :laff:

He was hilarious as a heel but it never worked because the crowd loved him too much, I myself couldn’t buy him as a heel at point of his career

I remember him on Xpac 1-2-360 talkin bout how he got fired for recording peoples convos. nikka got busted on some funny shyt...then Bob Holly and Steve Blackman made him get up out the car and walk to the next town or something like that. The office found out he had a gang of recorded conversations and fired him...So he went to WCW then came back and did this? If this dude wasn't the biggest fukk up...how did this nikka have a job after this?

Oh and this jackass thinks he still has a championship run in him BTW.

If Cody ever disses him I'm sure a few will pop up.
Disco Inferno was more in the category of lower card guys like La Parka//Val Venis/Al Snow who were actually over and had fans, unlike guys like “Meat” or “Chaz” :ld: The only way you should be able to stan Stasiak is by saying his father’s name out loud. :lolbron:

Now it makes total sense as to why they gave him a gimmick chance that made Staziak look stupid as fukk every week :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol: what a terrible decision by Staziak, but based on the list of names, there were no heavy hitters other than DDP and Booker T, and the WWE swiftly put them on the level of Christian and Edge --- popular dudes that weren't elevated in the slightest yet.

Legit one of the few wrestlers during the late 90s wrestling boom that has ZERO fans.

ZERO :russ::russ: had about as many fans as Just Joe, Key, and a non-Savio Vega Los Boriquas member

It's cool to say the Alliance angle was a failure, but the reality is it was actual very good but had some big missed opportunities. The Alliance era has been much better than anything the WWE has done in the last 8yrs imo.

It was a fun period, but if you were a bit older during that time, you quickly started to realize those missed opportunities in real time, and the fact that outside of select people (RVD, Torrie Wilson, Stacy Kiebler, and Billy Kidman [due to X-Pac]), WCW and ECW wrestlers didn't stand a chance at being taken seriously and treated equal. The Alliance era def has been much better than anything the WWE has done in a long time, but that's more of an indictment of how bad and watered down the WWE is currently than the Alliance era being that good.

Shawn Stasiak addresses longtime rumors that he recorded wrestlers backstage

A rumour he was tape recording fellow wrestlers leading to him being fired in 1999:

“Looking back and hindsight being 20/20, I just didn’t want to fail. I didn’t want to mess up. The more you think about not messing up what do you think you are going to do? You are going to mess up. I made it hard on myself and I think I got labelled and a couple of things like that tape recorder incident that took place. Honest to God and I have shared this story many times but I’ve read articles and heard these podcasts and the other day I tweeted at (Jim) Cornette because he told a story that I was so paranoid that I was recording people’s conversations and that is so far from the truth. I had a tape recorder in my bag because it was encouraged when I was training by Dory Funk Jr. and Tom Prichard to say that when you are on the road for hours to get a tape recorder and record yourself doing promos and work on your craft. I just played a rib on a couple of guys that I was going to play back for them and that backfired. Simple as that and it made me look real bad and I ended up getting fired. I think even though I came back to WWE a year or so later that the stigma was always stuck with me.”
Ratting out Dory Funk Jr. and Tom Prichard, Shawn the Snitch truly can’t help himself. :heh:
