The ocean is their turf, not ours. There's inherent risks in traversing that environment with no protection. Humans can't swim 50mphs, can't breathe under water and damn sure cannot evade if being attacked by most aquatic animals.

As a person you shouldn't go deep enough into the water where that's a threat, getting eaten by a shark. Don't go in deeper than about a metre, so around about stomach to chest height for an average man.

It's not like crocodile attacks, especially when they happen in developing countries where running water isn't available for 100% of the population and most of the population rely on rivers to get their water. Those people in those countries can't not use the river. They have to, or they'll die. So it's OK to take out a killer crocodile.

Sharks are different though. We have no business being in the sea, apart from our pleasure, the pleasure of swimming. I don't think it's necessary to kill a shark just so that a human can enjoy himself. Besides, how are you even going to get the right one. There's millions of them. And they aren't even social animals, so it's not like you can take one of them out as an example to all the others, to scare them into acting right. They don't give a shyt about their shark-brethren.
