Hmm i don't remember alot of these tracks being on the soundtrack? gonna have to check it out again

I had it on a cassette of the Gang Related soundtrack along with another bonus song. I thought I still had it, but couldn't track it down last year when I looked. It also apparently popped up on a CD reissue of the soundtrack that's hard to find.

@Dead End I thought the Goin Back 2 Cali track was on a retail release too, turns out it was set for a release in 99 on Suge Knight Represents: Chronic 2000. but it was cut for some reason

Ive posted it a few pages back in the unreleased inside out compilation which eventually became Suge Knight Represents: Chronic 2000 though if you're looking for the track

It looks like it may have been on one of the pressings of the Gang Related soundtrack, but not every pressing. I had a copy I bought in 1998 or so and it wasn't on there. Maybe it was removed later?

Damn, I forgot about that Inside Out comp. I remember reading about that on Death Row Geocities sites, but like a lot of planned releases...it never ended up coming out.

Does anyone have Crooked I "ThaRow.com"? It used to be the song that came on when you went to Death Row's website circa 2002. I know I'm not just imaging this because I found a DubCNN thread on it.

Sort of. Hood Star was released in 2010 on WIDEawake/Death Row but at that point Crooked I was long gone and it was just part of a batch of albums WIDEawake was putting out, made up of unreleased material from years before.

They are low quality bootlegs called the Makaveli Series as they were simply a series of mixtapes disgruntled engineers and producers stole and leaked to get paid when Suge went to jail and couldn't pay everyone due to his court case. In my upload you will find every single one of those songs featured in those shytty quality mixtapes but in CDQ or the best source quality available.

Is there any proof of this? I remember hearing that this is where the Makaveli bootlegs came from, but there were some rumors that Daz was behind them. If I remember correct, he alludes to this in an XXL article circa 2005. Could be wrong on this though. It's hard remembering the twists and turns of the soap opera that is Death Row Records heh.

Daz maybe was apart of the initial sale as well as other engineers/producers, but that had nothing to do with others like Dante and the like.

Just Google Dante. He was a big reason why 2Pac's music was leaked the way it did. He tarnished his legacy and went into hiding in real life after Afeni Shakur sued him.
