Shaq wasn’t lying about Joker and instead of being a fake fan boy like the rest of the NBA media he told him how he felt. It wasn’t disrespectful.

Shannon is a gossiping, possibly homosexual c00n who has been feasting off beef and people wanting to expose each other. I’d never say he’s without talent but he was wrong for going at Shaq like that
Breh you can't tell someone they don't deserve their award as you're presenting it to them :dahell: that's just being a dikkhead, no one asked for his opinion in that moment.

Present the award
Let him thank his people
'Congratulations joker"

THEN He coulda called out the inconsistencies in MVP voting after Joker was off, Shaq made this shyt about him and he has zero respect for all of these bigs whenever they get brought up.

He's always been sensitive like that, but keep that shyt within the TNT crew, they actually sign up to deal with his shyt so it's fair game, other people gonna call him a lame forreal and it clearly hurts his feelings

I think he’s afraid that he will eventually be surpassed. A lot of the older players are insecure about their legacies. Shaq will always be remembered as one of the GOATs but Shannon is 100% right that he failed to maximize his abilities. If he had a stronger work ethic and discipline…he would’ve won more rings and mvps that would make his resume untouchable.
But even at his known laziness, he should've had more than 1 MVP. It's not like his effort or lack of translated to his stats or dominance.

The problem with all types of accolades is that they are relative.

Jokic deserves 3 MVPs. This latest one might be the only one that can be challenged by SGA (and it probably would if he was white).

But that doesn’t mean that would’ve won a single one in Shaq, Duncan, Malone, or the Admirals eras. Giannis been injured, Embiid been injured. GSW fell off. Lakers trash. Tatum getting carried by his team and no remarkable numbers. Luka can’t play defense.

I mean it’s all relative and situational with these things. MVP does not equal the best player to me. That’s why I don’t fukk with anyone counting number of regular season MVPs as where you are on the all time lists.

It’s like when Kobe was the best, but his team was trash so Nash won cause he was by far the best on the best team.

Which seasons should he have won? Mind you that this is a regular season award only.

And was he more important than AI, Duncan and KG those regular seasons?

Right. Just like Shannon was insecure when Tony Gonzalez came on Undisputed years ago

I haven’t seen Shannon make these insecure facial expressions since :pachaha:

Yeah he did use to act crazy around Tony lol but, he also praises Tony, even said last night that Tony was a better player than him. He never has a problem saying people are better than him.

Shaqs right.
Shannon has become a gossiping bytch doing too much in his tight ass outfits with his boy toy hollywood

Talking about Shaq's personal life would be gossip. A sports discussion on comments Shaq made isn't.

Shaq always gotta pull rank any time someone gets at him. You need x amount of rings, this level of accomplishments to address me. He wants it so that only a handful of people who walk the earth can critique him. Basically setting himself up to be above reproach.

He's always pulling that hoe shyt.

You tell Shaq going through it mentally, every interview lately has been filled with regret. He has said how lonely he is and how he wishes he made his marriage work, just for the woman you loved and felt got away to say she never loved you.

So now Shaq lashing out at anybody that says something about him :francis:

Above the fray.
Cats in here have a problem with a man going at someone attacking his character :francis: . At least 2 of Jokic's MVP's have been gift wrapped whereas Shaq was robbed by another cat that received gift wrapped MVP's too. Denver wouldn't even have a ship or been owning the Lakers if not for Jamal Murrray
Barkley could have won an MVP in Philly, and publicly said so after Magic got it.
He later won one in Phoenix .

Shaq is not the first or last player to question why he didn't win MVP. Just the first to do it decades after the fact. Others have let it go.

Most big men don't win chips without a good to great guard/wing feeding them.

Cap had Oscar and Magic
Russell had Cousy and Havlicek
Timmy had Tony and Manu. Etc.
Very rarely do you do it without a great wing. Only exception I can think of over the last 30 years is Dream's first chip. He had no HOFers on that squad outside of himself.

Shaq had the second greatest SG of all time and arguably 3rd in Bean and Wade.

As good and as clutch as Murray is, he's not in the tiers of the guys above.

When you do things that haven't been done before like Jokic has, it's gonna stand out. The offensive skill is incredible. And yes, you can praise that and acknowledge that his defense isn't the greatest. And he 100% gets a bump due to him being white, but it is what it is.

Shaq being threatened with his legacy and place is nothing new. He did it with so many others, not just big men....Penny, Bean, Dwight, Embiid, Jokic, etc. And for what? His place is cemented as an all time great big man. And yeah nikka, you half assed it a lot and could've been even greater. Hell, he says it at times. But this bytchassedness he does is corny.

He could've congratulated Jokic and kept it moving during the interview. But he gotta be a dikkhead. Just say during the show that he thought SGA should've gotten it. But he gotta be extra with his insecurities.

nikka just acts too lame sometimes fam.
