These were "elite" CB's during the 2000's.

Imagine what Tyreek would do vs that coverage and speed :mjlol:

1v1 no safety help with cushion and molasses speed like that? Aight bet :mjlol:

Respect to Marvin and Tory because they're excellent route runners, but they ain't nowhere near the same level as these cats today. The run games were still overpowered during that time so you had bigger defenders playing closer to the line so less speed over the top.

Steve Smith put up 1600 yards during that time and dude has a pretty average route tree and speed.

Prime Odell would've probably been the league's best WR.

Tyreek would've put up video game numbers during that era.

Ya'll in here setting up fights and getting shot over a debate that is purely opinionated. There really is no wrong answer. Moss is my GOAT but there is definitely an argument that Tyreek is scarier, he is much shorter but much more elusive. Moss had better hands.

Imagine Randy and Megatron today when you can’t touch these nikkas on the outside and you can run across the middle without being murdered :mjlol:

This is an outlandish topic
Why are you acting like Moss and Megatron are contemporaries? They were drafted 9 years apart. And Megatron played the last 5 years of his career in the 2011-current passing nirvana.

Y’all comparing straight line speed which is fine but Reek is wayyyyy faster than Moss in game simply because of his change of direction and how stupid fast his cuts are.

His acceleration is instant and at the top of his route he seems like he’s moving twice as fast as everyone. Dude is different, there is has been nothing like him EVER

This needs some context though. Today's game and rules are more pass friendly than when Jerry and Randy played. Tyreek can freely run through the middle and not worry about getting destroyed while during Jerry and Randy playing days, it was suicidal for receivers to catch passes over the middle. Not to mention the enforcement of the 5 yard contact that they call today.

Not downplaying Tyreek but if he played back in those days, all the crossing routes that he runs freely now would sooner or later land him in the IR.
For this, I’d use Antonio Brown as a reference.

Why do y’all always do this? :smh:

NO
Nonsense. Randy Moss changed the way the game is played. He was phenomenal. Hill didn’t have an impact on the game like Moss had.

Yup. Tyreek's acceleration and deceleration are on a whole new level.

Also, look how Tyreek break things down (dude has a dope youtube channel). The guy is very polished with the football IQ mentally. Dude ain't playing a game based on pure physicality out there which makes things that much more difficult.

I'm a Chargers (always have been) and Rams (since they moved to LA) fan, I've seen this guy enough times to know what it is.

Moss had YAC too, but not like Tyreek because Tyreek's maneuverability is on another level. That additionally allows Hill to open things up for his teammates as well which provides more utility and versatility to the offense.

I haven't read the whole thread but dude is actually right. Hill can run any route, Moss was a one trick pony but he did that one trick to perfection.
