In Da 15th
Derrick Rose’s immediate family were all in the game. He made it to the NBA because he FOCUSED on something bigger.

I’d bet it’d be very difficult to be active (not affiliated) and successful at sports on the level Ja is on.

:sas2:

Is it me or does Derrick Rose look like Lupe?

That’s a good interview.

Topic: Unc Shay is right. I think Ja thinks that cos there are too many enablers around him. His dad who’s living vicariously through him is the biggest culprit. And those in the media who think “he’s from the culture” are part of the problem.

When you enable people - they start thinking they’re who they’re not. Even looking at the Memphis team & guys like Bane/Brooks acting like enforcers is hilarious. Brooks looks like a lite-bright special-ed nikka & Bane is a tall midget with short arms. None of these guys scare anyone.

I love watching them play & they need to drop the antics & focus on playing ball. An old man like Shannon punk them once & they have been losing since then cos they’re mentally soft.

Would love to hear a black conservative view on this. Because they can't use the raised by a single black mother excuse.

It doesn't take a "Conservative" to see that a big factor in this is Hip Hop/Street "Culture".

It encourages people who have earned money and have "made it" to still act like they have some street cred to protect.

Rapper Tray deee said it best when he was talking about Chris brown about 7 years ago

“I feel it has to either be a psychological defect to where you don’t wanna enjoy your life and enjoy your wealth and you know, ride around on boats and pop bottles, just live a stress-free life as far as attracting unwanted attention and aggression upon yourself,” he said. “Why would you wanna be rich and start fighting people? It makes no sense to me. I see it as the peer-pressure aspect is that, ‘Is this what you really want for yourself? Or do you feel that this is the only way that you’ll be secure in certain areas?’ So are you buying into it for protection? That’s the only logical conclusion that I can come to. I can’t see somebody waking up one day [and saying], ‘Okay, the Bentley’s in the driveway. Couple mill in the bank. Let me go to the hood and get shot at. Let me go stand on the corner and get shot at so people could say, “Oh, man that’s a tough guy.”’ People gon’ say you stupid as—you already know. So, I don’t get it.”

Imagine this lil boy playing against Gary Payton Supersonics or the 90s Knicks.:picard:
He'd be getting mauled at the rim and hacked on the perimeter because they wouldn't be able to stay in front of him. He'd adjust and turn into a Tony Parker type player and cook them in the mid game with floaters and outside jumpers. He'd still be quite serviceable.

That was always a dishonest generalization talking point. Lots of degenerates come from 2 parent homes. It’s more about who children befriend more than anything else.

"da culture" is killing us mentally and spiritually.

I hate "da culture".

I wish I could take all of the like-minded "square" black folk, move us far far away and start our own community and let those that we left behind have "da culture"
Y’all nikkas lame
