That maybe the lane that he wants to stick with while doing some sports spots on the side like Straham and Burlson
. They gave the blueprint that you can be successful w/o doing sports full time. He does has the personality to cross over.What is this breh?

Was typing too fast. Fox sent him to the Westminister dog show and he wouldn't shut up about his own dogs and was trying to pet the show dogs.
They put him on a red carpet and he was a fish out of water. Look at this awkward interview with someone he actually knows.
Who comes to a red carpet with a damn football?
That red carpet and that dog show were his first and last appearance In those formats. He's not a Michael Strahan where he can naturally blend in and out of different environments with the right energy and persona.
He's really good at playing a character when it's revolving around sports and he has the right person to play off of, hes also decent at long form interviews. He's trash at Short/Quick form interviews and basically mid at anything outside of sports.

Thats not really evidence he needs Skip though. I like Marcellus Wiley with just about every cohost hes ever had. But watching his solo podcast,while insightful its not "entertaining". Shannons probably boxed himself in where people are going to want entertainment and comedy rather than just insight. I dont think he was being himself at CBS which is why that didnt work. Ive seen shannon with other football players like Ray Lewis,Ladanian,Prime and it was highly entertaining
It will be about chemistry at the end of the day. Some people have chemistry with just about anybody,others do not,so we will see.
Most media people are not entertaining by themselves. That’s why they need people who they vibe with along with a platform that works for them. Even Stephen A needs a few people who personality fits his style so that he can shine. Skip sucks by himself and he needs a strong alpha individual to combat with. I think that the only person who is successful individually is Colin because he is monotone for the most part and is good at telling stories, even though I don’t agree with him on a lot of stuff.Thats not really evidence he needs Skip though. Also, who is saying that Shannon wants to go back to sport debating after this? I think that he is doing well on Club Shay Shay and he must believe it too since he got to keep it after the buyout. The media market has changed over the last couple of years and podcasting is very lucrative if you can bring in a lot of viewers and he has done that for the past year. If he gets a sponsor or another network to help with the show, he can be good as it is and do some side commentary on the side for BSPN.

I don't think he needs Skip, i never said that either. I think if he's going to talk sports he needs a "villain" type of cohost if hes going to be day time sports talk. Someone like Nick Wright, JJ Redikk, or Marcellus Wiley.
I agree that if he does a barbershop type sports talk show it will be entertaining, but those shows never get the ratings the conflict oriented shows do (other than NBA on TNT).

There's no value in staying anywhere you are miserable. Life is short and NO ONE benefits from you willingly suffering for no reason.
This is also why I never understood why people got on women's heads for divorcing/leaving "just" because they were unhappy.
One of the scariest things I ever heard in life was my dad proudly telling me if he had it his way he would've NEVER divorced my mom... despite the fact that he was horribly abusive and unfit for marriage.
