Why does legally owning a firearm get you suspended in the NBA :dahell: he wasnt in the locker room orbl some shyt like arenas. if anything he should sue the NBA
It has to do with image and brand recognition. That's why you don't see lawyers visiting clients wearing a t-shirt. It's about upholding an image. Do you really think JA (a nine figure earner) employed by a multi billion dollar employer is representing the company well waiving a gun?

It makes perfect sense but nobody sants to say why out loud

There are very few ways society rewards black men. One of those rewards happens to be displays of violence and violent intent

Ja wants nikkas to look at him the way they look at their favorite rappers

Now you're getting to the heart of why brothers get so offended when the behavior of the rappers promoting anti-Blackness is called out. They love it just as much as the women they accuse of loving it.

Sadly this is true. In the thread about the girl macing her teacher for taking her phone there was a ridiculous amount of posters talking bout “ he stole her property”. “ he should not have taken her phone “

I was :skip:

I don't think we realize how bad things will get for us with this mentality.

Shannon is right but it's hard to take a nikka who drinks henny, smokes black and milds and wears a goat head on national television seriously.

I've made multiple posts over the last few years about how and why a lot of the suburbs have turned into 2 story house hoods since the early 2000s but then posts get crickets every time:pachaha:

This shyt BEEN going on way before Ja
why can’t our reward just be staying out of trouble, coming home to a loving family, and making an honest living :mjcry:

Its not just that. Its the other questionable incidents like him pulling a gun on a teenager and him and his boys pointing a (assumed) laser scope at someone outside of the stadium and him having a gun at a club…

Then after all that and claiming “it’s not him” and doesn’t represent who he is, he’s on social media showing this same image. The culmination of all this could be argued to be conduct detrimental to the league, especially considering the social/political implications if guns these days.

People who defend Ja flashing guns lack self awareness.

Are school teachers allowed to have sex? Yeah. Obviously. Sex isn’t illegal, and neither is enjoying it. If a school teacher posts videos of themselves fukking on a public forum, do you think they’d keep their job since sex is not a crime? Do you think Mr Johnson gets to teach 7th graders on Monday after they see him waving his dikk around on Instagram Saturday? But having ya weenie out online ain’t a crime, it’s his right, right? He didn’t touch or harm anyone by playing with his dikk on the internet, why can’t he teach chemistry anymore?

There’s a such thing as conduct brehs. Learn that please. Ja is one of my favorite players. He needs to conduct himself within the NBA’s guidelines when cameras are rolling if he wants to be apart of the NBA. No school wants to be associated with sex work or crude acts, same way the NBA doesn’t wanna be associated with gun culture. It’s not a question of what’s legal or even morally right.. it’s simply not conduct the league wants to be associated with. It’s that simple. Keep the blickys off cameras. It’s that simple. Not a complex situation. Do all that shyt in private my brother.

We won’t hold people accountable for shyt. When we open up businesses and the riff raft come in and start chasing away the customers, instead of blaming the hooligans nikkas wanna blame the customers.

Naw, if I’m running a restaurant you shouldn’t come in with your ass out and twerking. If I own a store I don’t need you hanging out in the front loitering. Stop fukking it up for people about their business.
I remember that thread. People were arguing “well don’t play that kind of music if you don’t want women twerking.” :mindblown:

The infantilization of the black community is why we’re like this. Always making excuses for immaturity.

I see women with nice asses half way hanging out constantly, and yet somehow, I have the decency and self restraint not to grab them without consent.

No one would defend me if I blamed them for dressing like hos And not controlling my urges. And yet we want to defend other uncouth behavior.

Optics is important for most companies, but as an NBA player, or any athlete, the bar is higher. I mean, you can condone it or not personally, but why would any of those companies want to have that example around their products. Those are private companies, they can literally do whatever they want, that stuff is in his contract saying they can boot him for any of that shyt they find damaging to the brand (most likely at least) . And really, theres nothing wrong with owning a gun, but it’s the fact that he needs to flaunt it.
