hes a whole new fighter under garcia though
Agreed, he has become a better fighter under Garcia. Thing is, Marcos doesn't really have the attributes to trouble Floyd. While, I don't know what those attributes would be, even if they existed, but we've seen this fight with Marcos before in the form of others against Floyd. I also think it is folly for Garcia to not have Marcos watch film of Floyd before this fight, instead, it's blockbuster night and they are watching Rocky. It probably doesn't make sense anyways since Floyd is a patternless fighter but still, to get an idea of what to look for, to know the task of what you will be up against. Remember, for years, Roach would scream that Floyd lost his legs, in both fights last year, he was darting in and out of trouble with relative ease. Your trainer can only tell you so much and he isn't going to be in the ring with you. He's going to be rendered helpless before the fourth round. You will know that the fight is over when Floyd is standing in front of him for at least ten seconds, hands down and Marcos doesn't throw back because he is tired of getting hit.
I'm a stan of Floyd as he is my favorite athlete of all time by far but I don't really think I, nor others embellish too much on his achievements as he is really that great. He's not Superman, he is human but he's rendered so many other boxer's attempts as futile that I honestly can't conceive of a way that this would be any different until I see it before my eyes.
