Bravo attempts to answer the age old question, can dating your best friend be the key to lasting love or a recipe for disaster with its new docu-series “Friends to Lovers?” From casual to complicated, innocent to intimate, this social experiment of the heart follows five sets of singles who take a leap of faith and try to become more than “just friends.” Throughout the season, the couples must deal with the unique challenges of dating such as Awkward first kisses, tests of jealousy and the inevitable reveal to friends and family. While some count their years of friendship as the foundation for their relationship, others want to be swooned all over again. Jin and Sydney have been friends for five years, but one or the other has always been in a relationship. Working in the nightlife and restaurant industry, Sydney is surrounded by beautiful women all the time, but is ready to settle down. Meanwhile, Jin is just entering the single life after her divorce to famed boxer Sugar Shane Mosley. While neither has ever acted on their impulses towards one another, they both have feelings for each other. With a strong admiration as the foundation of their relationship, both Jin and Sydney know it is now or never to give love a try. Jin Mosley, divorced from boxer Shane Mosley, who is still such a regular presence in her life he’s sort-of living with her, much to the understandable chagrin of Sydney Hall, a club promoter who would like to give dating her a try. Actually he is living in her basement. I don’t why he is living with his ex-wife, he says he is broke, maybe he is but you would think that’s the last place he would want to be. However, they do have a remarkable relationship and he seems not too care if she is dating, she is single and she has that right.

With all due respect, please check your facts and CALL SHANE or his publicist before writing stories that aren't true. This was poorly done - and this series is old news, by the way. Do you believe everything you see on TV? Shane owns five gorgeous homes, has plenty of money and has NEVER lived in anyone's basement. A long time ago, when this series was filmed, he visited his kids at the house HE OWNED when he and Jin broke up and would stay in the THEATER room (not a basement) when the kids begged him not to go. He had and still does have plenty of homes to choose from. He's a family man and loves his kids. You can imagine not having them every night would be hard so the BIG theater was not a bad option when dad wanted more time with the kiddos. Please, Google, call, do something before writing stories that are irresponsibly done and facts aren't checked. TV is TV... period. People, disregard this article. Shane is FAR FROM BROKE and will be in his own TV series this summer: Knockout 2.
i smelled bullshyt when i read the title of this thread
According to TMZ, Mosley's 2011 divorce was costly.
Very costly.
The fighter was ordered to pay ex-wife Jin Mosley $20,000 per month in support starting December 2010. Moreover, he owed her $60,000 off the top in back pay.
According to the documentation filed in L.A. County Superior Court in the divorce proceedings, Jin inisited she needed the money to pay monthly expenses such as:
-- Clothes $5,073
-- Jewelry $1,666
-- Cosmetics, beauty $2,000
-- Massage therapist $360
-- Personal trainer $720
Ex-wives can be expensive.
But there's more.
According to California state law, Mosley's wife was entitled to half of Sugar Shane's fight purses during their marriage.
In addition, if TMZ's account is accurate, Mosley's ex-wife, Jin, purportedly also receives 50% Sugar Shane's profits from videotapes and DVDs of his super fights during their 7 year marriage prior to the separation date.
Although Mosley was able to keep all of his earnings from his bouts with Manny Pacquiao and Canelo Alvarez, his wife is likely getting (or has received) half of all of his earnings from what was left from his previous bouts during the time of their marriage. Those fights include but aren't limited to his showdowns with Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Fernando Vargas.
In addition, his ex-wife was awarded each of Shane's three championship belts to hold for their three children until each reaches 18.
Shane Mosley may have lost 50%, if not more, of his net worth from his divorce alone.
