I always think back to that KO doc where they followed him for one year in WWE and he was basically miserable the whole time and unhappy with how he was getting booked (and this was during his Universal title reign and partnership with Jericho). He's gotta be despondent and ready to fukking quit if the reports are true-- spent the better part of a year in a main event program teaming with his best friend against a McMahon and now he'll be just another number in the WM battle royal. When is his contract up? I'll bet he's counting the days at this point.

Doubt it. Any wrestler who'd quit the most money they're probably gonna make in their career over a match booking... would surpass Bret Hart levels of marking for themselves. That's shyt for people who don't have anyone to think about but themselves... that dude ain't about to tell his son he left because he didn't like being in the battle royal.

It’s deeper than that though. If you’re working your ass off and consistently among the very best parts of the product and never get to advance or get rewarded for said work or just get passed over for the boss to prioritize his kids can’t be the sort of working environment that people want to be in. It sends the message that hard work doesn’t matter and that it’s more important for Vince to hand pick you totally arbitrarily or that you have to be one of his kids to get top priority.
