Most people’s lives aren’t THAT affected by the government shutdown right away.. but you end up getting “sick calls” in certain facilities and there’s def gonna be issues.
Hell my facility right now we had ONE sick call today, and we’ve been mostly screwed today with people working 2hrs in and 30 min breaks. I can’t even imagine a couple people call in sick within multiple areas.
Short staffed facilities, not getting paid and the opportunity for “free leave”.. this wont end well
It was headline news before, if it happens again it’ll be the reason the government comes back. Can’t have ground delays for hours on end cause controllers aren’t getting paid
