Wow this is fukking terrible. What an awful year. Praying for him to be safe but it definitely doesn’t sound good.

I don’t fukk with large bodies of water at all. Most I’ll do is let it come up to around my waist. When I went to Santa Monica pier I was seeing people all the way deep into the ocean. I was as a country dude from Memphis, Tennessee.

You can be the most athletic person, and the rip currents just don't give a fukk; so strong that it's impossible to swim back when your in it. However at the same time, your suppose to swim parallel to the beach because that will take you out of the rip current and allow yourself to swim back towards the beach.

No sure if Shad knew that.

But what ends up happening is that people tire out and die from drowning after being exhausted. The wave crashing down on him sounds bad though, so I don't think this is going to be a good outcome.

If he is dead, at least he died being a good father, and telling the lifeguards to save his boy first.

One witness at the scene tells us ... when lifeguards raced into the ocean, Gaspard directed rescuers to help his son first, which they did.

This happened yesterday too. If there's no update, that's usually not good
