Good shyt. It's been great watching him blow up. I stumbled upon his Cowboys album like a year and a half ago and was confused on how his music wasn't everywhere. Seeing him go from like 500k listeners to 30 million in such a short time is a huge example of how you can make it as long as you get chosen by the industry

I faintly remember that being part of the “controversy” of the song. They didn’t want to acknowledge it as a country song at first. That’s when Billy Ray Cyrus hopped on the song to defend him.

I dont know if you haven't been paying attention, but "MAGA" country has been dominating American music for the past 3 or so years.
I'm not even exaggating. Some of the top songs in America are about shyt like:

- Try that protesting shyt in my small town brother
- Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps brother
- We've lost our way brothers, lets get it back


And then you think about what shows have seen wild popularity. Shows about the true, good ole USA, the way it was when times were good. Shows like Yellowstone, or Tulsa King, that have blatantly racist undertones.
