cant really judge UCLA too much till conference starts

they have as much talent as anyone in the country there are 2 issues though

1) Howland doesnt seem like the right coach for this team...He wants to slow it down and grind it out. They have the bigs to rebound then let Bazz/Anderson/Adams/Drew run

2)Chemistry...They have 3 seniors Drew/Wear Twins who all 3 need big years to get some NBA attention and also to justify the hype they had as youngsters.

Bazz/Anderson have lottery hype to meet...Parker doesnt want to set between 2 white twins... Smith supposed to be a 1st round pick at 1 time cant get lost in the shuffle

I can see them winning it all. I can see them getting beat by a 14 seed in the 1st round
His job is on the line and he's supposed to be running an uptempo offense this season so his much ballyhooed players can shine and win some games. He's said repeatedly in the media out here that the offense will finally open up this season. but on the flip side his players do pretty good in the pros after being coached by him

College and the pros are completely different games, who a players coach is has nothing to do with how they will fare in the nba

Howlands players do well becasue some of the players he recruited have skillsets translate to the pros its not because of him

I didn't say it was completely all on Howland how a player does in the pros. That's never the case.. but f*ck that he's helped in player development and instilling tenacity on defense. Westbrook and Darren Collison weren't even heavily recruited at all when they went to UCLA.

howland is a good defensive coach... offensively he isnt good

that 08 team should have beaten Memphis/UNC/Kansas when they were all #1 seeds

They had Westbrook/Collinson in the backcourt and Love down low and they averaged 74 points a game
