Just evil. You'd think with all that money San Francisco has and their alleged progressive ideals that they'd use that wealth of theirs to give the homeless an actual HOME!! But naw, they making real life ED-209s now to get homeless people off the block

First of all every homeless person ain't some result of economic inequality - don't know why y'all can't accept some people are responsible for fukking up their own lives.
Secondly that's not the problem we're addressing, the issue is these tent cities exist, and they will continue to, but we need to regulate where they're set up. I know most of y'all don't own shyt or contribute to society, but as someone who does pay a shytload of taxes and property taxes, I deserve to be able to walk through my neighborhood to Bart or through city centers without the safety and sanitiation hazards posed by these camps.
Y'all laugh at what an $800k home looks like in Cali and the types of neighborhoods they're in, yet want to tell us we should be compassionate and let these camps thrive in these same neighborhoods people are struggling to own property in. Stop it.
These cac this, cac that insults aren't going to change my opinion of the reality out here. Ain't nobody trying to lock these people up, but there has to be a solution that keeps the safety and cleanliness of city centers and neighborhoods as a priority

Americans should treat homeless people and drug addicts like the Portuguese treat drug addicts - not as bloodthirsty criminals that need to be locked up, but from a health + medical point of view. As many in this thread have said it's literally cheaper to help and treat them instead of throwing their ass in jail or designing expensive automated deterrents. Where does it go from there? Elysium style robots that are literally cac cops x5000?

Live in Hawaii and the state has the highest homeless per capita the gov does a good job of keeping them far away from Waikiki last week they even cleaned under the freeway so tourist wouldn’t have to see em on there way to downtown
The biggest problem is the homeless don’t want help because the shelters here have rules so when they do the sweeps the homeless just leave and come back later and set up shop and I’m talking these homeless had ac running tapping into the electric and all that shyt some people live in cars and things of that nature
The cost of living is outrageous here to so that doesn’t help and the government put all the money into this rail project instead of affordable housing
