SF / SF Bay area sucks

SF is a beautiful city, but cot damn the amount of bums out there is shocking, it's like Night of the Living homeless and the amount of cardboard box homes per square feet is insane. I don't know if that has changed, I went out there in 05 and the city was nice looking but the women were

ppl can call SF the most beautiful / aesthetically pleasing city in the states and it wouldn't be crazy, because the scenery and vistas here are gorgeous. but the city has too many problems, shyt infrastructure, shyt public transit, the worse bum problem in the country easy... they are aggressive and shyt on the sidewalks in the middle of the day in front of ppl, they spit at pedestrians etc. public policy is what allows them to be out in full force harassing people, making what should be a great downtown smell like a urinal. nothing has changed since 2005.
the decreasing diversity is turning SF into vancouver, basically all whites and asians. RIP to my city

berkeley is a mess, i remember a few months back they kicked out a bunch of bums living in the wilderness in albany or some shyt, they all went to berkeley.
most of berkeley looks and smells like 16th and mission bart station



nah... oakland is becoming a homogeneous, soul-less shyt hole just like SF. the hipsters that cant afford to live in SF or want a "grittier" experience are moving to Oakland. a lot of native oakland ppl left because the rents been skyrocketing there too. gentrification hitting oakland hard. i even hear of plans to "develop" richmond

Bruh same shyt happening all over the country...the sad part is the stupid people think when they knock down these 'ghettos' and bad areas and build them up with expensive condos and shyt....those people who once lived there have to find a new place to live. It's happened in Atlantic City....they knock down the hoods,then the government assists those people and they move to a moderately good neighborhood and then that new spot they found turns to shyt.

Though having lived in SD but not LA nor SF...it seems SF and bay area is winning with that BART shyt...I need to be around a decent public transportation I don't know about yall. Though on the flipside the nightlife from what I hear is lame...is it more of a bar type city? I know it can't be better than SD for damn sure...P.Beach or the Gaslamp...

My homeboy who been there said it wasn't that many bums...though he is from Seattle. I wonder if there are more bums than Seattle....if you're not from a bigger,more dangerous city then walking around downtown might scare you. shytload of bums,though I felt safer walking around at night than this small town I live in now...

bigger cities like nyc or LA can handle gentrification better than a tiny city like SF can... that's the problem... in nyc, gentrification is a problem but the city is so fukkin big theres huge parts of it that arent even affected yet. here, ALL of SF is affected. BART is cool if you're from LA and SD and dont have a comprehensive public transit system. BART is fukkin expensive. i stopped taking public transit when i got my license so
i went to SD once, dont know enough about it to compare its nightlife to SF's.. some bad white bytches in SD tho, better than the vegans here. 2am last call at bars is anywhere in the state

Yea it is. City Hall announced it first as "Lake Merritt Gentrification Project". Jerry brown was mayor and said he wanted to bring 10k new residents to downtown Oakland. He wasn't lying lol. West Oakland is heavily gentrified. I must admit, it looks better and cleaner. Anything beats 150 murders per year

about Dodger Stadium? They did some renovations to it this season. I checked it out before I ran the LA marathon In March because they let us warm up in the stadium (not on the field) and I thought it looked nice.

If Richmond can be gentrified, it can be done anywhere

I live in downtown SF and my rent is 3600 for a one bedroom 600sqft the OP is right I walk around and go to all the bars around here and its mostly white or asian men in there I used to live in Atlanta DC and went to NY every other weekend in college the chicks here are trash i don't even bother trying to talk to any of them because they not worth my time. The weather is cool and like they said seeing a black man is a feat to see out here. I'm moving to LA in january I gave SF a shot for a year but this place is nice to come take pictures but nightlife or dating or just being around nice looking chicks don't exist outchea. Oh to add I had one of my chicks I mess with in Atlanta come visit me and we went to the club/bar and a giants game and me or her didn't pay for nothing because she was the best looking chick they had ever seen straight up

But above 25 it narrows down to the "Asians and white hipsters" categories y'all are talking about here. Where are the black women (do people from Oakland stay over there or do they spend time in SF)? Are the white/Asian chicks down with black dudes like they can be in NYC?

in sf, it literally is mostly asian and white. check the demographics. sure theres some black, latina, and other ethnic backgrounds sprinkled about but most times ur gona see whites and asians (particularly chinese). there are some filipina broads, some are but mostly

people from all over the bay area go into SF, so sometimes u see more diversity which isn't indicative of the demographics of the city. once that 2am last call hits, everyone goes back home and the whites and asians stay to do hipster shyt. or smoke weed and talk about bullshyt.

women/people here are not inclusive/outgoing/friendly like they are in other cities. when i visit my family in nyc, i'll chill with my cousins and their friends, and there will be like 7 diff races chillin like nothin... and people within that group will invite you to chill with them the next day, where u will meet new people. people here go out in groups, and its always the same group of people. very rarely do people socialize with diff groups. think of it the way fraternities and sororities work in college... ur in fraternity A, and u may have class with a guy in fraternity B... but u aint gona join his fraternity and vice versa... and bytches from sorority C only date boring, "safe" asian midgets or white guys.
