the math these days is weird
She’s Indy. She ain’t signed yetwhy do yall always say this on here? lol
Independent is a grind. That girl aint built for that shyt. She doing right by getting exposure off (I assumen major backing) and a upfront bag.
She’s Indy. She ain’t signed yet
How does she have all those celebrities in the pound town video and this type of productionShe’s Indy. She ain’t signed yet
Pull up the Ice spice and glo threads
Same posters clowning people with thriving rap careers
Yes Glo has a thriving a career. Every artist isn’t going to have the same peakIce Spice sure, she's winning. But does Glorilla have a "thriving" rap career right now with less than 5mil monthly Spotify listeners?
I feel like Sexyy Redd is largely a troll artist with no real appeal. Ice Spice is at least cute and had multiple tracks pretty quickly that made you think ok she's got something. This chick is just...nauseating and I'm not sold that women are fukking with the od ratchet shyt coming from her. You're right that the label is more interested in how the singles are selling VS an album, I just don't think this chick has many more viral moments left before she's on OnlyFans or something.
I agree with all of this, I'm just not buying it for Glorilla. And my issue with the gameplan is that it rarely seems to work. When it does work it's moreso the label winning while the artist is in this nonstop spiral of Madden music and familiar samples. Coi Leray has nearly 40mil listeners on Spotify monthly...grats to the label because she's not seeing jack shyt from those publishing splits, she can't tour, and she's in this attention/engagement loop that has a hard end.Yes Glo has a thriving a career. These threads are constantly made about new female rappers(colincel motives I believe)but the same thing happens for new male rappers.
Real Boston richey is one of the hottest new rappers out and sold 15k.
These projects shouldn’t be judged by sales because it’s clear the goal of these projects is provide a collection of songs for fans that want to hear more from a new artist with a hit record. These projects aren’t promoted
Established artist like Meg, Uzi and Durk are the ones where sales matter
I think Glo will be fine. Coi isn’t good and the fact that she made it this far is a miracleI agree with all of this, I'm just not buying it for Glorilla. How do you define flopping?Oh ok
So she doing well and not flopping..
I would say Glo is thriving. She just started a few years ago. It’s a processIce Spice sure, she's winning. But does Glorilla have a "thriving" rap career right now with less than 5mil monthly Spotify listeners?

The people that follow her are doing it for a “vibe”. They live vicariously through these female artists since they look and act just like project chicks. The music is really secondary.I just can't wrap my mind around having all those followers and sales don't match up.
Even with streaming numbers.
You know deep down they wanna air their "fans" out.
in this day and age, I dont know. streaming? How do you define flopping?
I despise nyggas like you on here... just stfu
@burnaboy's 'Love, Damini' debuts at #14 on this week's Billboard 200 with 25K sold. It's Burna Boy's highest charting album ever.Jul 18, 2022
Burna Boy Scores First Billboard Hot 100 Entry As Lead Artist With 'Last Last'
Burna Boy has made it to the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time as a solo or lead artist, with Last Last at No. 86 on the chart this week. The track iswww.dancehallmag.com
it doesnt matter. rationale my nygga. 13,000 first week but still can sell out 20,000 seat arenas.
the point is numbers can be numbers but they dont always tell the whole story. Number watching days are pretty much over. People are placing more value on the live experience unless the demographic is kids who not old enough to buy tickets and who stream Youngboy all day.
