Washed In The City....They were washed in the 2000s....now they are even more washed...

Wonder how these Proto/Ancient-Thots will do in the age of IG....

My ex girlfriend used to watch this shyt religiously back in those days and I had to leave the room everytime because this show and it's characters were so god damn awful I was in actual physical pain whenever I listened to them speak :scust:
Needless to say, that relationship didn't last :camby:

I did too. It was cool for its era.

But they old as fukk now.

It was tough watching the new one. It’s one thing to be washed, it’s another thing entirely when the show is about sex and relationships. :hhh:

These broads aged horribly. Especially Carrie. :hhh:

They also went overboard with representation to the point that it felt condescending.

cuz you’re not the target demo. This show was a holy grail for a certain type of woman aged 16-40 when it aired.

and just as the movies didn’t focus on the random casual sex/dating fukkery that the show focused on (in the early years), I’m sure this won’t. There’s a lot to explore about relationships no matter your age. Since there’s no Samantha, the other three are all married, two have kids, I’m sure they’re dealing with menopause and other female changes, the ways relationships change as you age, female friendship later in life, etc there’s a lot that they can explore about women in their 50’s that will resonate with their OG fans who are now 35-60

it’s a clear cash/fame grab by them and HBO, but it does work given there are stories to tell
Go watch the Golden Girls. :russ:

currently watching! GREAT show
This show was terrible. They threw every possible “woke” issue in plus tried way too hard to add diversity to their very white bubble. Like I can accept these were some white ass women who lived in a white world, the attempts at black friends was cringe

Yo, the attempts at diversity were outrageous, I honestly thought the white producers were trolling. Maybe they were, that’s the only thing that can explain some of these choices.

Charlotte’s white guilt storyline was so :picard:
