The only failure Kofi had as champion was the match he lost the belt in. Not his fault.

Beyond that, he was a fabulous first-time champion.

The WWE failed Seth Rollins as Universal Champion.

He had that match with KO and the steel cage one with Dolph Ziggler and those were his only good matches.

I really dont remember much from his title run not to sound disrespectful. It was dope as hell winning it and it was overdue but it was definitely forgettable

Kofi had good to great matches with the following:

KO
Sami
AJ
Bryan
Dolph
Orton (the second match, not the first)

That also doesn’t include the initial lengthy gauntlet leading up to Elimination Chamber, the Elimination Chamber match itself, and various New Day tag and 6 man tag matches throughout that same period. He was also booked as a smart fighting champion, with a finisher that got protected almost as much as the Tombstone. The only thing that was forgettable about his reign, was it’s awful ending.

It may be too late for Miz. He’s somewhat of a caricature now, especially as a face. They missed the boat on him during the Talking Smack era when he had all types of momentum. I don’t even remember them ending his feud with Bryan, which they had all kinds of ammo for.

sad fact is that in this, the age of the unsatisfied smark, no matter who gets the strap, people will bytch sooner or later. theyve got to build better programs. if brey doesnt have a good 2nd or 3rd opponent (if he keeps the strap that long), the universe will turn on him too. but thats always easier for a heel because youre supposed to cheer against them. being a face is like being a boyfriend; the more they get used to you, its a thankless job.
