Do u see how that chick tried to take Seth Rogan down with Franco in her article about the “bribe” she received? Just cause he was a producer on the movie. This is the type of shyt Seth is trying to avoid. If u look at that article for the title. U would think some heinous shyt happened to her on set at the hands of Franco. When in reality. The bytch just said she wanted to leave the movie because of the accusations lobbied against him. But they offered her a better role trying to convince her to stay. Somehow that’s a bribe in her world. When it reality. It’s normal work shyt. I guess u can say that the fact that she was uncomfortable working on set with him it’s an HR issue to try to dismiss that and convince her to stay. But still. Shorty was being dramatic. I kinda hate the way things are right now cause real victims of shyt get lost in all this cap and clout chasing.
If your accusations start in the media and not through the proper channels to actually hold a perpetrator to account criminally/professionally I got to raise an eyebrow.

That’s a whole other issue tho. But as u can see. Seth had to definitely stand in front of this situation and distance himself because he was getting dragged into it.

I don't think he had to. He could have given a friend a vote of confidence and he would be fine. Seth didn't do anything wrong himself.

Bruh there’s literally people who didn’t do anything wrong who’s careers are completely fukked right now. Look at Johnny Depp. Amber Heard lied on him and it’s been proven in COURT that SHE was the abuser and cheater and he’s still ruined while she’s still prospering. Seth has to play this shyt smart.

If saving my career means giving in to a witch hunt I guess I'm losing my career. :yeshrug:
Especially if I already made millions in the process.

It’s easy to say that when ur shyt ain’t on the line and u trying to make sure ur family is good and establish something. I’m pretty sure he loves to do what he does and doesn’t wanna give it up.
He's a millionaire many times over his family is fine! Can we please stop inserting 'feeding families' when talking about Hollywood actors and producers when like 50% of the country can't afford $1K emergency. It sounds dumb.
And please show me a case where an actor ir producer was blackballed not for doing anything but for sticking up for someone accused? Has it happened or is he playing it extra cowardly than normal?

Like I said bro. He was being dragged into it by being associated with Franco on a production level. Talk about loyalty, that Asian chick has been working with Rogan since Knocked Up and she still threw him under the bus for damn near no reason. Hollywood aint shyt bruh. Lol

Was watching a video about this on YouTube and the acting school allegations ended in an out of court settlement to the two women who filed. The amount was not disclosed and while all charges were dismissed they can be refiled. Not clear if anything had happened on that front.

Settlement Deal Reached in James Franco Sexual Misconduct Suit – The Hollywood Reporter

Settlement Deal Reached in James Franco Sexual Misconduct Suit
A settlement agreement has been reached in a lawsuit that alleged James Franco intimidated students at an acting and film school he founded into gratuitous and exploitative sexual situations.

A status report jointly filed by the two sides in Los Angeles Superior Court said a settlement had been reached in the class-action suit brought by former students at the now-defunct school, Studio 4, though elements of the lawsuit may live on. The document was filed on Feb. 11, but the settlement has not previously been reported.

Actresses and ex-students Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal, who first filed the lawsuit in 2019, have agreed to drop their individual claims under the agreement, according to the court filing. Their lawsuit said Franco pushed his students into performing in increasingly explicit sex scenes on camera in an “orgy type setting” that went far beyond those acceptable on Hollywood film sets.

It alleged that Franco “sought to create a pipeline of young women who were subjected to his personal and professional sexual exploitation in the name of education,” and that students were led to believe roles in Franco’s films would be available to those who went along.

The lawsuits said the incidents occurred in a master class on sex scenes that Franco taught at Studio 4, which opened in 2014 and closed in 2017.

The two sides had been in discussions on a settlement for several months, and the lawsuits progress had been paused while they talked. Emails to several attorneys for both sides seeking comment on the agreement and more details on the terms were not immediately returned.

In a previous court filing, Franco’s attorneys, while praising the #MeToo movement that helped inspire the lawsuit, called its claims “false and inflammatory, legally baseless and brought as a class action with the obvious goal of grabbing as much publicity as possible for attention-hungry Plaintiffs.” They pointed out that Tither-Kaplan had previously expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Franco.

The lawsuit also names Franco’s production company Rabbit Bandini and his partners including Vince Jolivette and Jay Davis as defendants. The sexual exploitation allegations of other plaintiffs in the class action will be dismissed without prejudice, meaning they may be re-filed, the joint status report said. Fraud allegations brought by those plaintiffs will be “subjected to limited release,” the document says, without further details or explanation.
The document does not reveal how much money may be involved in the deal, which the parties say they will submit for preliminary court approval by March 15.

Before filing the lawsuit, Tither-Kaplan aired her allegations of sexual misconduct against Franco along with other women in the Los Angeles Times after Franco won a Golden Globe Award for The Disaster Artist in early 2018, when the wave of the #MeToo movement was sweeping across Hollywood.

In a subsequent interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Franco called the sexual misconduct stories about him inaccurate, but said, “If I’ve done something wrong, I will fix it. I have to.”

Franco, 42, best known for starring in comedies with Seth Rogen, has generally kept a low-profile since the allegations arose in what had been a highly productive period that culminated in the acclaimed Disaster Artist.

Reading this. It sounded like she heard about the accusations and tried to leave the movie. So they offered her a better role. And she declined. I’m not dismissing the other women’s claims but this chick just seem like she clout chasing the situation. Talking about a “bribe”. That’s literally the equivalent of u trying to quit ur job and they offer u a promotion to try to keep u on board. That’s not a bribe. Lol.
:comeon:

If you work at a place and find out your boss allegedly did some fukked up shyt on there was evidence of some fukked up shyt he did and they offered you a better job to get you to stay, would you stay if you felt uncomfortable and felt that your boss was a piece of shyt?

You say that like Franco and Rogen just saw each other at work and had no relationship on a personal level. James was his boy.

Fam there is no evidence that he actually did anything. She wanted to leave cause of the accusations. Which is fine. They tried to get her to stay by offering her a better part. I also did point out that it could be an HR issue because of her being uncomfortable with the person and them trying to get her to stay. But other than that. She wasn’t harassed, or treated fukked up or anything like that. They didnt “bribe” her and didn’t pressure her to do anything. They made her a better offer. She declined. Her making a big deal out of that is goofy imo. And as far as the second part. Ur making my point. Seth had to distance himself because he was getting thrown under the bus by association. He was the PRODUCER on the movie. Not writer or director. That’s why I said production level. shyt SHE HERSELF knew Seth for over a decade at that point. Franco has plenty of female actress friends as well. I’m pretty sure the chick wouldn’t behave that way with Amber Heard. Hollywood is full of shyt bruh and the sooner u realize that the better. These Hollywood bytches on this me too shyt was lining up to work with Roman Polanski and giving him standing ovations at award shows KNOWING he was a full on child rapist. Like no dispute. Dude dead ass sodomized a child. They didn’t care bruh. White women took a serious issue and made it into a hustle and a joke at this point. And there’s no consistency.
