I still say Seth one of the GOATs but this long title reign hurt him more than helped. He was easily one of the most over people on the roster a year ago. He was so over as a heel the fans turned him face, one of the rare times in history that happened 
His character been
but it was kinda funny, this title reign getting stale is what messed him up more than anything. I feel like people started getting tired of him shortly after SummerSlam. They shoulda had him drop the title to Finn or made AJ first WHC 
Finn being WHC while Priest got MITB woulda been way more compelling than Seth defending the title in matches we know he gone with with half ass storylines. Other than the Finn one I don’t even remember a good storyline Seth had since he got the title

I do admit Seth and Cody being the modern day Mega Powers is pretty cheesy. I generally like Cody and Seth on the stick, but the pairing seems a bit forced. Which leads to unnatural dialogue
At some point with this story, less is more. Creative needs to reign everyone in and make things a little tighter.
I’m fine with the Rock using Instagram to advance his new character. It’s a bit much to take almost of hour of TV time to rehash the same bit. It comes off being a bit of a gloryhog.
CM Punk getting hurt was the worst thing to happen to Seth. Things were percolating with the promo after Survivor Series. Then Punk gets hurt and while the program with Drew will probably be good, it’s a letdown.
I think WWE needs to cool it with the promos and let things breathe a bit.
