I’ve never seen the documentary, so I have a question. For all these women who were allegedly being held hostage or were too afraid to leave, how did they get free? I saw part of an interview from this chick who said he was beating her, but she only lived with him for three weeks.

They just left... The same way they got there *Willingly*

• YES, WE ARE DISGUSTED BY THE PARENTS OF THESE YOUNG WOMAN.
• YES, RKelly took advantage of an opportunity to benefit off of the parents disregard for their children's wellbeing .
• YES, we are talking about this today instead of 2 weeks ago because there is so much other shyt that is fukked in this world that we had our attention on that and it doesn't prohibit us from expressing our displeasure about what we feel is RKelly's record of predatory behavior.
• So, YES, we have a right to discuss RKelly's position in the court of public opinion.

This way, we eliminate most of the attempts by RKelly's sympathizers to derail any valid opinion on this fukked up public figure.

I can't believe nikkas have the audacity to really try to somehow recast the spotlight on regular people who have a right to analyze the information before them and form an opinion.

Myth:
"These girls, whether 13 or 18 knew what they got themselves into just like I knew what was right and wrong at 13"

Reality:
No, that is not necessarily true! A person's personal trauma, poor upbringing and lack of proper paternal guidance can contribute to the development of unhealthy and dangerous risk taking because of that trauma such as trusting and bonding with an adult sexual opportunist who is also famous and psychologically powerful compared to their young, weak psyche.

Myth:
"RKelly was just minding his business. If it wasn't for the parents greed and prostituting their daughter, he wouldn't be publicly lynched for just being a man"

Reality:
Predators don't usually prey on victims with strong familial backgrounds. They know how to pick out their victims. Look up the usual profile of a juvenile sexual victim and you'll see a pattern - a child who is neglected & psychologically searching for attention and acceptance; who also tend to be very withdrawn regarding problems and pain so they tend to stay quiet and be intimidated when threatened/persuaded that no one would believe them.

Nothing these parents recklessly did take away from the sick decision making of RKelly

Reality:
That logic fails because in the Gayle King interview, he literally admitted that these parents essentially held out these young girls as BAIT. He said it as an attempt to displace blame from him but that further makes him look ridiculous, why?

If he has so much to lose and he is really thinking strategically, why would you even allow yourself to get involved in a situation where a 17 YEAR OLD GIRL'S father happen to bring his daughter to you and encourage a relationship to develop???

A sane man, even one who has learned from. His mistakes WOULD NOT ALLOW HIMSELF TO GET INVOLVED IN SUCH A TIMEBOMB OF A CIRCUMSTANCE.

His admissions in the interview only show him to be just as much of a fool as he seems to be predatory.
