1995: He had his marriage to Aaliyah annulled and both were harshly criticized. Aaliyah recovered with Missy and Timbaland after being briefly blackballed. R Kelly in a span of a couple years gave "I Believe I Can Fly" "You Are Not Alone"

2002/2003: We see the release of the underage video....next year releases Ignition Remix, one of his biggest classic songs....also "Step In The Name of Love" . If you wanna also count the Trapped in the Closet series a couple years after that too...

2008 trial....the next year R Kelly wrote I Look For You for Whitney Houston, one of her last comeback hits.

2019... :jbhmm: This guy is a reactionary artist to the T. I can see him going to prison and continuing this trend..

Bet money he gets off free of charges again

He wont.

He has no money to pay off people this time and they are gonna have a jury that doesn't have alot or any black women at all that would increase those chances.

Kelly is a sicko but he's not beating this this time. In this era of Metoo they're determined to make an example. I'm sure Harvey Weinstein will be acquitted or will probably do little to no time. They have to make an example of someone.

Keeping my tinfoil kufi on, they had all this planned from the get go but waited for "Surviving R. Kelly" to air to put it in the atmosphere of hatred of Kelly so to convict him already in public opinion and to taint the potential jury pool. Also strange that Oprah was a supporter of the Michael Jackson hit piece documentary a few days ago and now her bestfriend has an exclusive interview with another black male celebrity who is facing serious charges.

I legitimately believe that Kellz has lived a somewhat clean life from the days of the recorded sextapes. So in his mind this is shyt that he tried to bury and move on from coming back to bite his ass.

But that's how this shyt works, its always shyt thats from the past that comes back to haunt.

Many of you are not making sense in here. Little black girls are not going around randomly lying. A sister just last year told her story about living with him when she was underage back in 2009.

Are you and the person you quoted that gullible enough to believe R Kelly did not have sex with any underage teenage girls in this entire decade? The decade ends in like 9 months...your really gonna tell me this whole entire decade he has lived as you say "a somewhat clean life"? Breh stop it

Yes I noticed this also but I still think Gayle is cool. Gayle doesn't have a history of Black male hating rhetoric like Oprah. Plus R Kelly is actually guilty unlike MJ.

I don't think he held any chics against their will. They all wanted to be where they was.

They were underage girls. They can't make their own decisions. Stop repeating this dumb ignorant shyt.

Calling underage girls "chicks". Stop this stupidity. And before you run with the "But their parents angle". Remember alot of these young girls came from foster homes or don't even have parents. The ones we see in the news are just the ones who actually did have parents, albeit negligent ones. There are likely hundreds of other underage girls who R Kelly molested in the past 30 years who literally had no parents or family that could tell that story. I'm bringing that up from the start cause I know too many of you love to run with that angle as if all the girls had parents or a family.

Stop being ignorant in 2019 and caping for this fool. This gets so annoying in all these threads seeing half of you caping for the clown.

@Booksnrain drop science on these fools please. :snoop:

A smart label exec would see this as an opportunity :win:

Honestly, I believe him

I feel like, he did do that Aaliyah shyt. Thats no doubt but he shouldn't be the only one going down for that as well...

All that other shyt he was proven innocent. It doesn't matter to me now because the girl supposedly in that tape said it wasn't her and still worked with him after he was aquitted...

Fast forward, R.Kelly might have issues but what he's saying is true. People need to use their common sense and I feel like only half of them are. Everybody wants to believe everything now. Cancel culture is real and it's targeting black men been saying it for a while now.

How you gonna make a documentary with disgruntled family members while the women in question are chilling with R.Kelly as we speak?

How you a monster but these people are shopping with your money in Beverly Hills?

Those were the GROWN WOMEN who were with R-Kelly. Why do people not understand this? I heard Rah Digga even clarify this multiple times on the Lord Jamar podcast and could sympathize with what she was saying. I think anyone can agree about the grown woman being full of shyt and looking for attention and basically knowing his history and what they were getting into.

My issue and what Rah mentioned is that too many are forgetting about the underage girls and keep letting actions of the grown women cover that and act like it was literally only Aaliyah and the girl on the tape. As I mentioned before a young girl last year even told her story about how she was with him in 2009 in his house for a while when she was underage. There are other girls giving their stories also. I wish we as a society especially coli members posting in here would remember to separate the grown women who were with R Kelly(K Michele for example) and focus on the underage girls. Instead of talking about "these broads...the broads...the broads are lying " etc.

No i'm not. Something else I noticed people been doing is going just off of the Surviving R Kelly documentary alone and not other reports on him before that documentary.

One documentary does not equal "all the women R Kelly had in his house". This is what the general public seems to think though.

People wonder why celebrities get married. I'm not going to comment on his guilt but it is frightening that justice has been reduced to putting out an ad for victims to come forward.

If you're a celebrity who gets around, you're wide open.
