Post production takes a while on top of covid making it hard for the effects people to work on it

Didn't know they released trailers before post-production...to be honest as a fan there's nothing more frustrating that seeing a trailer is out and the release date not even being announced. Like just don't say shyt until you have a date :francis:

The Batman trailer we got was only like 2 months in:mjlol::mjlol:It sucks because Hollywood has been forced to lean everything back far longer than normal :francis:

Damn...tbh I really don't get the logic in having a trailer out when you don't even know when you'll be able to actually screen the movie...pandemic or not. I mean what exactly do they gain? It's not like Stranger Things needs any "hype", there's fans all over the world and you can just have promotion like a couple weeks before. Just wait until everything is done, when the show has a clear release date, THEN release a trailer. That being said I know nothing of the industry and I guess it's showing :yeshrug:

I think with Stranger Things, the original plan was to shoot immediately, since the kids were growing too fast and they knew this would be the last season. COVID delayed that, and whatever footage they did have already, more than likely can't use with any new footage...if it involved the kids.

Lots if teasers come out before post production. When there's a big effects movie, reviewers will sometimes point out things that need work in post production. There are even big changes sometimes like Rogue One or Sonic.
