that's what i want to take... that's that real hand to hand... snap, break, disable a nikka in quick moves so you can get the fukk up out of there

i'm not gonna be trying to hip roll a nikka and submit him
Krav maga schools employ jiu-jitsu fighters to teach the snapping breaking and disabling u speak of.

It is a good art for disarming weapons but not ideal for hand to hand combat when put against boxing mma and or jiujitsu, just friend.

I did BJJ for about 3 months, learning it was cool but after I saw how extensive the cardio was after the first free class I did it to get in shape and shed some pounds. How unsanitary that shyt was eventually got to me, once I lost the weight I was off that for good.

that was the one thing i didnt like either. i hated doing no-gi for that reason. too much sweat swapping. the gi was my shyt because there was barely any skin to skin contact.

we do a lot of weapons defense at my school. it all depends on the lineage. don't go to a sport school if you want to learn self defense.

some schools encourage tournament participation to raise their own profile, others do it to raise experience level. choose which one suits you best - you want trophies or security?

OP $150 a month is not that steep (depending on where you live). They should let you take a few intro classes to see if you like it. If you want to stick with it I would talk to them about a longer contract for lower prices or discounts for bringing other people to sign up. The good places will work with you.

and what do you do when you get locked up for shooting a nikka in a fist fight (no reasonable risk to life)

or in a bar/club/lounge fight where you can't bring your gun in?

i got my carry permit... i can carry most places in like 20 states... but there's still shytload of situations, where you won't have it, or can't start blindly bucking nikkas for swinging a punch

I'm not fighting, first thing I will do is back down. They can say whatever they want to me, I'm not for any confrontation under any circumstances. I'm on my Left of Bang a.k.a. streets of Kandahar steez.

Also fighting in close quarters is asking for trouble. Many times I've seen people's face hanging trying to squab it out in a bar/club/lounge.

Any fight I can't avoid, I'm introducing my knife or firearm. *knocks on wood* *knocks on wood* I've been able to avoid trouble. But fighting is usually out of the question. I am under no obligation to preserve life, and like someone else said how many times the loser of a fight comes back wanting blood.

I only want to increase my fighting skills for compromising positions.

Richmond Virginia area. So anywhere within 30-50 miles of that and I'd be good
aight i'll ask my instructor tomorrow when im in class. in the meantime you can google some bjj academies and press them on self defense training. tell them you dont care about tournaments or trophies or sport jiu jitsu. if you namedrop relson ("helson") gracie's style, they'll know what you mean
