Funny, this is the 2nd time today I was asked the exact same question lol Ima quote my post from in the OG Thread:

He's only had 9 fights, all ended in KO, and he has 2 former Champions names on his resume already....those 2 Champs only combined to go 6 out of 24 scheduled rounds.

From what I understand, Chechnya has been trying to get full independence from Russia, and the conflict is very violent. I always remember seeing news about attacks being carried out by Islamic Chechens.

The beef between the two from what I read stems from when they fought, kovalev claims he was robbed due to politics... Kovalev says that he had beterbiev with his head down.

Idk how Russia would back kovalev over beterbiev though considering he's Chechen, I'm guessing he was just the better prospect...Chechens for the most part are considered a thorn to the Russians, they want there independence but still are in control under Russia... There's stories that some of them have joined Isis.. The boston bombers were Chechens.

This is actually the exact reason I think he'll lose. Well, I actually think Kovalev is simply the better fighter as well but I don't think the gap is wide at all.. but the experience gap can mean something.

Breh watch some of the Beast's fights. Look at his feet and his right hand during the Campillo/Johnson knockouts. Dude is knocking guys out with punches where he doesn't turn his whole hand over. Knocking down dude's with stiff jabs/lead rights. KKKov is probably technically a better boxer, but he will have his hands completely full with Beast, because Beasts left/right hands are equally powerful, and he's knocking dudes out while he's not able to put all of his power behind his punches.
