Growing up, my Grandparents took hygiene serious. Couldn't miss work or get sick. Culturally, we never got reckless or nasty with our health.

I've noticed that the "well to do" ones are the worst with public health.

There seem to be connections between race class and hygiene.

Africans are the most clean people I have ever met. Especially Rwandans.
Jamaicans come in second.

The nastiest people I have seen are Italians, Irish, and Americans.
