baseball players got fed up and said, "pay me a million dollars to play" ?

labor participation rates didn't increase (and they increased quite a bit) until the later half of the 20th century.
simple shyt available on google ain't worth my time, if you wanted to know this stuff you would know it

you said labor supply was the same as today which isn't true....simple shyt you could look up on google...

baseball players get paid what they do because of simple market forces like supply and demand...

what aren't you getting? If you actually refuted my point we could have a debate

I'm not saying unions haven't achieved great things

Simple supply and demand, is apparently not so simple anymore :wow:

sometimes it's so complicated, like the great supply demand kerfuffle of 1970's

somehow the supply of baseball players must have went way down so their salaries went way up:troll:
it's a great mystery, how that happened, like big foot or the conscience of libertarians:heh:
maybe there was famine or a secret war:ohhh:

bet you can't explain how their supply changed:heh:

see supply and demand can be very complicated:mjlol:

TYRONE GA!
40 or 50 bucks a week means a lot to people living on that salary, i refuse to believe that its gonna cost THAT many people to cut jobs for reasons other than greed

the money that execs make at these companies in bonuses alone would allow that. It's to the point that they cut people in order to fund their bonuses at the end of the year.

SMH. Poor people voting Republican would be like PETA building
slaughterhouses. Makes no sense at all. If Republicans were allowed to run one half this country in entirety, we would have Brazilian favelas in less than 10 years.

Its the balance of the two that makes this nation great imho. No side is suppose to "win". :yeshrug:
