He's a war hawk, he suppots US intervention in every corner of the world. He's aligned with the neocons of the Bush administration.
He may be moderate on immigration, torture, and even climate at times but he is a Republican on all the core issues. He wants tax cuts for the rich and to dismantle most social programs.
He's not as moderate as say a Susan Collins is. He just looks moderate because of the right wing Koch heads running around the House and some Senators like Cruz and Lee..

I'm confused about what victory has been claimed. The next steps are to debate which bill they want. This seems to only make the process more complicated fir the GOP.
That said I'm surprised it took this much effort to repeal but since this is being rushed so badly on something that makes up 1/6th of our economy then this does not look good.
