I will never ever understand how and why people focus so much on things like these and the Patriot Act.

If you aren't literally hearing the government, the hell is up with all the bytching? What is the government gonna blast your phone sex conversation for everyone in your neighborhood to hear?

What will make you start caring about violations of the laws in your country?

You really don't think I don't know history? Really breh?

Im probably one of the biggest history/political buffs on this board(in the top 10). Me not talking about it all the time doesn't mean anything. My discussions with DaygoTaco in PMs show this.

I know what the Bill Of Rights are, but even in the Constitution, didn't our founding fathers put in certain instances we make "sacrifices"? Now tell me this, after what happened with 911, despite how horrible Bush was as a president.....telll me what else we should have done besides the Patriot Act?

I am all for people having different opinions but I have noticed that whenever people talk about this they can NEVER give their ideas for alternate solutions. If you have one then I am curious to hear.

And that isn't me being a smart ass btw, If you do have an alternative then I really am curious. I just really wish people would stop the whole "taking our rights" argument without giving IDEAS for alternative solutions. Come on people.

How about no. Simple enough.

Where does it say in the Constitution or Bill of Rights to give up your rights.....:pachaha:....... my brehdah.... no it doesn't say that.....

The Founding (slave owning hypocritical) White Guys said something along the lines of "not forsaking freedom for security".....

conducting surveillance of "lone wolves" — individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to terrorist groups

^How is that bad

:aicmon:

The 4th Amendment :ooh:
No problem, get a search warrant from a court. :mindblown:

Let me break it down for you:....

You see apparently, we're supposed to have 3 branches (Executive, Legislative, Judicial) of government that have checks and balances for each other, so one can't overstep the other...the people that figured this system out knew from history how easy it was for a lone branch to go :krs: coocoo for cocoa puffs when an opening was made for complete power. So they put those checks and balances in for a reason.

In your lone wolf scenario the Executive branch suspects shenanigans, its supposed to go to the Judicial branch to get the authority to go beyond the 4th Amendment. Its not rocket science, its just American civics.....you don't know/remember history or civics........its ok...it not your fault (completely)....most our fellow citizens have fogotten/don't care how the system is supposed to work either... :snoop:

I'm not tripping on you breh.....but this is the same line of thinking that has us (Americans) looking extra retarded and caught in this Bread and Circuses matrix...cause we get fed the mumbo jumbo, when all we have to do is download our history and civics lessons....

Our liberties and freedoms are straight :flabbynsick: X 100 right now
