So then y'all have to admit that we're hypocrites, we only want capitalism as long as it benefits us. Because if y'all are truly about capitalism, you should welcome the competition with open arms, after all competition only makes us better, right?

Im not included in that we but yes, what you are saying is true. Capitalism with special treatment for a pecking order of individuals starting with some on the top and then ending up with the last group, on the bottom, friend.

like i said its only a free market if its both ways and everybody is operating in the same regime, in this case it would mean expanding NAFTA to include free movement of labor and normalizing labor laws in all 3 countries, in other words any american worker would also be able to go to mexico and set up shop, i support that but i dont support an invasion of law wage labor into the country, that isnt a free market, legalizing illegal immigrants would not a create a free movement of labor in north america all it does is create artificially low labor in one country

That's already true, breh, Monterrey is like Detroit/Chicago South, flying in all you see is factories for miles. But with NAFTA, we benefit from an increased consumer base, and they benefit from access to more jobs. Basically, the people at the top win, because they can sell more product, and now they can find cheaper labor to produce that product. :banderas: The person who loses is you, the pretend capitalist who was all for it until it turned around and bit you in the azz.

how is that true? corporations are not people, how is corporations setting up border factories free movement of labor? and americans cant got to mexico and canada and get a job without jumping through the legal hoops

there should be free movement of labor but that should be done by treaty, not by simply legalizing illegal aliens

Breh, you could be a nationalized Mexican in 3 months with the FM-3 visa, can't speak for Canada, but last I checked, Americans didn't need a visa to go there, I highly doubt it's that difficult to become a national/citizen there. Stop being a hypocrite, just admit capitalism isn't right, there needs to be some aspects of socialism/communism attached to make it work, similar to the Scandinavian countries.

well free movement of labor means you dont need a visa, free movement of labor means you can just go whenever or wherever you feel like it, of course you can get a work visa to mexico, just like anybody can get a visa to the US if they jump through the proper hoops but that isnt free movement of labor

if there is an overall plan to create a free labor market in the americas, im down for that, but im not down for simply the us legalizing illegal, thats just a further distortion of the market

how did immigration turn into a discussion of socialism? ive never been opposed to social spending on health care and education you're confusing me with somebody else but either way that isnt related to immigration

This is the one issue where republicans could really win me over.....that is if every other one of their policies wasn't anti-black.

It's a shame that as black folks, we've little choice in this matter. The republicans are straight up demons, but the dems would have all of our children speaking spanish if they have their way.

I was under the impression the majority of the board was against open borders and amnesty :yeshrug: My bad. Glad to see you guys are on board :obama:

Why would you think that? Most people here are for open borders and amnesty becuase that is the liberal view of things but in reality most people don't care cuz they don't think immigration effects them

Been talked about for over a decade now that immigration across all professions will be an agenda for the US because immigrants will work for less money. This will obviously hurt black people because we are so far behind everyone else while we have people coming into the country that are hitting the ground running for these jobs. Sad future.
:mindblown: Ive been saying this since 05 in the KTL days.
