really? I was thinking the opposite. I think he created because he wanted to be a DJ. Necessity being the mother of invention and all.

Not that it really matters. IMHO he should be able to do with his talents what he will, be it DJ, sell icecream, whatever. Let little man follow his passion.

no, real black excellence is when there isn't one kid paraded around like "look at this, out of 1000000 africans he's a useful one!"

there are numerous people like that kid in africa. but none of those kids have access to the outside world. they have no easy access to internet. therefore, their talents will most likely remain forever hidden unless luck happens to shine on them and someone of influence actually notices them.
