how is he self hating? he is just stating how he feels

brown people are not your friends anymore than white people

This applies to black immigrants too, I don't know why we feel people have to accepting of us AND we have to be accepting of others. This is some kumbaya nonsense and it puts us at an disadvantage.

I still can't shake the thought of those 5 white women riding for Zimmerman, to make sure he goes free. And the reasons they gave had nothing to do with the law.

As far as I'm concerned, if I spend an ounce of energy it will be for my people.

I wouldn't call it self hating either.

More like full fledged ignorance and stupidity on the part of the Polynesian guy.

He must not realize that in the pecking order of discrimination in this country he is not immune from a lynching in certain places. Particularly the more rural parts of the south, since he claims to live there.

All that "I don't like dude cause he's black" isn't gonna stop them "good ole boys" from turning him into strange fruit in the boondocks of Alabama or Mississippi.

Breh, there are Mexicans, Polynesians, Indians, etc who know certain whites don't like them and might hurt them, that still have negative views of African Americans. They view the racism towards them as unjustified but the racism towards other groups as justified. You could tell them they would be handed on Alabama and they would think the Alabamans are igorant for negatively characterizing but not so for African Americans because the latter actually represent and do things to justify the hate. I have debated such Mexicans on YouTube. It's a type of cognitive bias.

He's not self-hating.

He just has his opinion of blacks.

He said that he doesn't have affirmative action or NAACP to help his people. Meaning he recognizes he's a minority and it's hard being one in America, how can you acknowledge this and not acknowledge OUR centuries of hardships?

He doesn't want to be a minority in the eyes of successful whites, and he wants to distinguished from other minorities.

This is self-hating behavior.

Sounds like an idiot, to me.

His statements imply he sees his people as different to African Americans and does not seem to conflate the two despite the fact both are minorities. He thinks African Americans get undue privileges that his group does not and partly resents African Americans because of it. Where I think you go wrong is in assuming he holds "minority" status as fellowship beyond name. He seems to care about his people, and probably doesn't think of himself as "self hating" because he is talking about what is good for his people. What happens to African Americans isn't something he seems concerned about. He might even prefer cacs.
