I watched this in 2000 on VHS, a little late, but still iconic late 90's movie, with all the teen stars, music, and tragic romance, manipulative teenagers and depraved adults. I always loved the movie, and took the romance seriously, despite it's relative absurdity, and over the top melodrama, getting hit by a car, while Reese wears all white as you die in her arms. The sdtk had some classics from that era too, This Love, Bittersweet Symphony, You Could Make a Killing. Very much a timeless part of that era, the best of those kinds of forgotten "teen" movies.
