actually this gives an interesting point on tribalism
is tribalism so bad? usually that word is used in a negative sense describing something.

But check this out, these ants all worked together, which pretty fukkin insane
but they are completely unable to communicate, perhaps they have a collective mind specific to the colony.
So they all work as one and are able to do so because they think as one and do not fight amongst themselves, meaning within the colony.

But go take two bottles, find an ant colony and take a bunch of ants from that ant colony and dump them somewhere or on top of another different ant colony and them dudes will start FIGHITING lol
keep doing that and the same will keep happening, like rival tribes.

so even tribalism can equate to great accomplishments

But how do ants know that another ant is from another colony?
Their scent, every ant colony has a different scent and they all identity each other with that scent.
Often in an ant nest there will be one ant guarding the door and only if you have that scent will you be allowed to enter,
Another interesting thing is if you go to an ant colony and kidnap say 40 ants and put them in a container and bring them home and then after 4 or 5 weeks you bring them back to their ant colony, that colony will reject them.
Because scents change, in those 4 or 5 weeks they formed a new colony and therefore a new scent was developped.
