i always jump back and forward on whether they should get paid cause i don't think every college athlete should get paid and that's what they have to do but they should def get a higher % put towards their stipend. that under the table, and grant money ain't enough, even tho the football players had the best cars outside of the rich kids on campus. I don't know how they got em tho

A lot of my beef is that they won't let the kids at least make their own money off their likenesses (like the Gurley incident in 2013).

a typical bachelor's degree in 2016 is worth about as much as a high school diploma. if you're not going to go all the way and get a master's degree, then you're better off getting a 2 year associates degree or learning a trade. the fact that the NCAA is still using the outdated reasoning for not paying players because "schools are compensating them with a free education" is bullshyt.

even if you're on the other side of the fence and support the argument that players should NOT be paid. you have to open your eyes and realize that this isn't 1970's college sports anymore. College sports have become a huge, multi-BILLION dollar business and even with athletic departments claiming that they either break even or lose money at the end of the year, most of them are subsidized for their losses and nearly all of the top 30 programs today are grossing over $100 million per year.

at the very least all student athletes (from the swim team to the star football players) should receive some sort of compensation even if it's only a couple hundred dollars per week. they certainly shouldn't be punished for accepting free gifts from outside boosters or making money off of their likeness. you're the NCAA. not God.
