SEC did a good job redeeming itself after an embrassing bowl season

actually that would be you guys going crazy over one bowl season. we actually have numbers going back 10 years showing the SEC has the best record in bowls. the best regular season record vs. power 5 opponents. the most national titles. the most nfl draft picks. we also dominate recruiting every year.

the one who is desperate is the one who hangs onto OUTLIERS. last year bowl season was an OUTLIER. if it wasn't, then you guys would have more material. BUT YOU DON'T. all you have is one year.

I have 10 years of data.

Only win that stands out is A&M, Bama winning was no surprise, Auburn was but they got the W no one cares about the Carolinas we all lost watching that .


This is your 2011 OU/FSU game @Swagnificent we talked about this earlier in summer. FSU went again a much better OU but that was a game FSU had to measure itself vs #1 team that had blew us off the road previous year. This gonna be good game Saturday I expect this game to be a shootout I like what I saw out of Tennessee run game.

no doubt. I'd go so far as to say this is the most important game in Tennessee history since the 1998 bcs title game. we need to win this game. we probably can survive a loss and still have a succesful 9-3 season. however, a win catapults us back into national prominense.

I shudder to think what it could do for recruiting. Butch has done a great job selling hope to recruits. Saturday gives him the chance to show recruits some tangible results.

Should be an ELECTRIC atmosphere in Neyland. They're already saying this game will be louded since 2006 when we hosted a highly ranked Cal team that had Desean Jackson and Marshawn Lynch leading the way.

SEC teams won ALL the marquee out of conference games of the opening weekend.

• We had an unranked team (Texas A&M) dominate the #15 team in the country in the premier game of the week. This was billed up as a bragging rights game for which is the best division.....SEC West or Pac 12 South? not much of a comparison anymore.
• Alabama rolled up a big 10 team that was feeling itself after an irrelevant win over Auburn in the bowl season.
• Auburn had their way with a pretty good Louisville team till the end of the game.

Other than Vanderbilt, every other SEC team won. Compare that to the alleged second best conference the Pac 12.
