Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing ring a bell

I recant my statement so far as where some of the big start-ups began, but assuredly NY and San Fran are bigger tech hot spots than Seattle. I don't see why someone would choose Seattle over San Fran or NY for the tech industry. NY and San Fran are bigger and more developed.

Its a nice place to visit, only in the summer though. I went for a week in June, and luckily it didn't rain until I was on my way out. Previous visits I wasn't so lucky. If you do go to Seattle be sure to do the Boeing tours, and take the ferry to Bainbridge Island, the view alone is worth it, the island itself looks like it belongs in a horror/murder mystery film.


Oh and the people drive awfully slow up there, thought it was just me, but transplants to the city agreed with me.
