I agree.

Recently told @Mowgli the exact same thing while playing BF4.
Most people didn't like it because there were to many Caucasians in that season but I think it should be appreciated because i feel seasin 2 and 4 give some of the most important sides of the game.

What them cacs are doing.

For me it's like this in order: 3,4,1,2,5.

Season 2 was solid. I wasn't crazy about it at first but it grew on me second viewing and so forth.

Season 5 is by far the weakest. Still good, but I could have done without the serial killer storyline and the boring ass newspaper shyt.

The sad truth is, if the majority of the Wire was like season 2 in terms of story line, it would've won at least 3 or 4 emmys for best drama.

my ratings for them

3 - A++(i loved watching the deterioration of stringer and avon's relationship and avon's war)
4 - A+(the kids are just amazing and a great aspect of it all)
2 - A(showed a whole new side to crime that most people were never exposed to)
1 - A-(i loved how the detail came together and how the characters were developed for us)
5 - C-(its still the wire so it passes but fukk that serial killer storyline was terrible :scust:)

When Frank told his worker who was hurting for money and about too lose his car and leave the union to go get a shot and beer on him and tell Doris it's on Frank. When he gave Doris the 20 and she gave him about 5 stacks to help him out with Ziggy watching and knowing that his dad would do anything for his workers was great. One of the best low key scenes written.

Ziggy also learned in that scene that it was okay to cut corners to be the big man. Frank is more responsible for Ziggy's downfall than a lot of people realize. The parallel's between Avon and D'angelo and Frank and Ziggy are strong and I totally missed it on my first viewing. The born into it speech D'angelo gives could easily have come out of Zig's mouth.
